HEALTH CARE FOR ALL—What We Can Do Now?

HEALTH CARE FOR ALL—What We Can Do Now? Discussion at Mt. Washington House in Hillsdale.

On Sunday, June 28th at 2:00 PM there will be a panel discussion held at Mount Washington House in Hillsdale. On the panel will be David Silvert, a retired physician who has practiced in Canada and the United States, Edward Frederick, an administrator with Hudson Health Care, and Elizabeth Bledsoe, Nurse Practitioner at Hillsdale Health Care. Audience participation is encouraged and expected.

Is there a problem with America’s health care system? Does President Obama have a plan to deal with such a problem? What can an individual do about the situation?

This meeting will focus on President Obama’s three principles, (1) Reduce Costs, (2) Guarantee Choice, and (3) Ensure Coverage for Everyone.

There are differing opinions about options and “fixes.” The forces that oppose any change are powerful and well financed, and they are prepared to do major battle with any movement to challenge the current system of health care. The President has asked Congress to create a detailed plan to do just that and we will discuss if, when and how that might be done. All opinions are welcome.
